Exams and evaluations of postgraduate programs

1). exams can be taken simultaneously in classroom setting. questions are selected from secure question bank and can be submitted to each student online as each student is asked different questions in different times. the rules governing the preparation and inscription of questions, formation of question bank, safekeeping of questions in classroom setting or online, and security of exam rooms are all conducted by YOK
2) evaluation of post graduate courses are based on letter grade system. final grade calculation is based on average of mid term exams and critical activities.. course instructor determines the percentage of midterms and critical activities on Final grade before the registration begins and announce them in first two weeks of the term. the percentage of midterm exams and critical activities on final exam is around 40-70%, and final and make exam percentage is around 30-60%. exams and evaluations of distance learning programs are conducted according to the procedures and principals of Higher education institution Distance Learning. Quotient of letter grades and corresponding scores in calculation of grade point average are as follow;

4) in order for a student to be successful in post graduate program, point grade average is minimum 2 out of 4. for a PhD student passing grade is minimum 2.5 out of 4.
5) in order for a student to be able to take final exam of a course, the student needs to attend minimum 70% of theoretical courses, and 80% of applied courses.
6) if a student fails a course, s/he can re-register to same course in regular semester or summer school, and instead of elective courses the student can attend other postgraduate courses approved by an advisor.
7) post graduate students who registered at PhD program need to complete course stage minimum 2 maximum 4 semesters.
students with bachelor degree who registered at PhD program need to complete course stage minimum 4 maximum 6 semesters.
Students who failed to satisfy these terms can register to continue education after completing necessary requirements. in this case, students can only attend courses, exams, prepare thesis and continue studentship status , but cant be granted other rights.
