Ege University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences
Ege University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences was founded in 1982. Since 1986, it was settled in the third floor of Faculty of Agriculture, Block B.
The aim of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences is to conduct the scientific and technical postgraduate studies in Ege University according to the goals and principals of the Higher Education Law 2547 and within the framework of Graduate Studies’ rules and regulations.
At present, within the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences there are 42 departments of which:
7 are in Natural Sciences
9 are in Engineering
10 are in Agriculture
3 are in Fisheries
1 is in Computers and Education Technologies Training
10 are in Interdisciplinary Sciences
2 are in Intermediate Branch Education
Both Masters and Doctorate programs exist in all the departments excluding the following departments in which only the Masters program exists; Environmental Sciences, Natural History, Computers and Education Technologies Training and Intermediate Branch Education.
The language of instruction is English in the departments of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. In all the other departments, the language of instruction is Turkish.
The Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences is governed by the following units:
Director of the Institute is assigned by the Rector. The Director is the institutional correspondent of the Dean in Faculties.
Director: Prof.Dr. Rengin ELTEM, Professor in the department of Biotechnology.
Associate Director: Prof.Dr.Hüseyin ARIKAN, Professor in the Faculty of Science, Department of Biology is the Associate Director.
Board of Institute: Board of Institute is composed of; associate directors and all the department chairs and is governed by the Director.
Executive Board of the Institute: Executive Board of the Institute is composed of three Professors which are elected by the Board of Institute. The current members are;

Prof.Dr.Yasemin TOPALOĞLU, Faculty of Engineering, Dept. of Computer Engineering.
Prof.Dr.Tanju KAYA, Faculty of Science, Dept. of Natural History.
